Carrington – Richmond Hill Kitchen Project

Our Challenge

We were challenged to turn an outdated kitchen into our customer's dream, open-concept kitchen while retaining the existing footprint. Major changes were going to be required to do more in the same amount of space.

The

Morra Solution

We replaced the existing stove with a cooktop and double wall oven. Our customer wanted a larger fridge and pantry so we moved the dishwasher and cutlery drawer to a peninsula. The kitchen bulkheads had to be removed to heighten cabinets to ceiling, which meant hiding all mechanical behind a new cabinet crown. In order to provide enough room to walk between the new longer peninsula and the fridge, the fridge and wall oven were pushed back into wall in between the kitchen and dining room. We employed some creative ideas with some truly custom-designed cabinets to give our client exactly what was asked all while using the same space. Finally ample drawer space, rollouts and pullout shelving was added. Lighted glass display cabinets were added to create greater open feel in this beautiful new modern kitchen.
